Paul Land, BSc (Hons), ACA pdl@tennantland.co.uk
Paul is TLP’s Managing Partner having trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with an independent firm in North Leeds, obtaining invaluable experience in the owner managed businesses sector before joining forces with his former colleague and friend the late Adam Tennant.
Paul has been the driving force behind the expansion of TLP over the last ten years, acting for an increasingly varied national client base.
As well as being responsible for advising TLPs corporate clients on strategic matters and assisting them in growing their businesses, Paul engages in special project work with an emphasis on business acquisitions and disposals, corporate re-structuring and tax solutions. This expertise in corporate finance combined with corporate banking, legal and professional strategic partnerships are the essence of TLP and are the foundation on which Paul has built the firm.
Andrew Wild, BA (Hons), FCA andrew@tennantland.co.uk
In 2003, Andrew joined TLP as a partner. Andrew provides a partner led service to a wide portfolio of clients ranging from small OMBs to larger corporate companies, as well as personal tax services to a number of high net worth individuals.
Andrew qualified as a chartered accountant in 1996 having trained at a medium sized firm based in Manchester, specialising in audit, accounting and taxation services to small and medium sized OMBs. He then joined the Leeds office of a national practice where he spent seven years within audit and associated departments, gaining experience in company audits, corporate financial due diligence, corporate recovery finance reviews and business planning.
Andrew promotes open dialogue and clients having direct contact at all levels within TLP to build a close business relationship that enables him and his staff to fully understanding and keep up to date with all aspects of a clients business and therefore ensure the firm provides the best service possible.
A former swimmer and runner competing at National level in both sports, not to mention a former double National Biathlon champion, Andrew’s leisure pursuits now revolve around two wheels and can often be seen cycling around the hills of Yorkshire and furth afield.
Nigel Ash, BA (Hons), FCCA nigel@tennantland.co.uk
Nigel was promoted to partner in April 2012 having joined TLP in November 2005 as a manager in the Audit and Accounts Department before becoming Associate Partner in March 2009.
Nigel qualified in 1999 and progressed to manager at a firm in Skipton, specialising in the Audit, Accounts and Tax of small and medium OMBs, as well as gaining experience in various forms of Corporate Finance.
As well as managing a portfolio of clients, Nigel has become increasingly involoved in ad-hoc work such as financial due diligence and business acquisitions and disposals.
Following promotion to Partner it is his intention to take on a more prominent role with existing and new TLP clients and help drive the business forward.
Nigel enjoys spending his spare time with his young family and is an avid cricket fan.
Senior Staff
Ann-Marie Clapham, BA (Hons), FCCA, CTA – Corporate Tax Associate ann-marieclapham@tennantland.co.uk
Ann-Marie qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1999 with a Leeds based sole practitioner firm, qualifying as a Chartered Tax Advisor in 2000. Before joining TLP in June 2006 Ann-Marie specialised in Corporate Tax, working for national firm of Chartered Accountants, dealing with large plcs and owner managed businesses of varying sizes and sectors.
Ann-Marie was appointed Associate Partner in March 2009 and is responsible for overseeing the mainline Tax Department, ensuring delivery of client services in a timely manner and to a high professional standard. In addition to tax compliance and tax planning for both Corporate and Personal clients, Ann-Marie carries out supervision and training support for ATT trainees within the department.
In her spare time Ann-Marie can be found walking her beloved four legged friend, is a keen photographer, and despite the weather loves to go camping.
Stuart Nash (Sage certified trainer) – Payroll administrator snash@tennantland.co.uk
After following a circuitous career path Stuart joined TLP from a major Leeds accountancy firm in September 2005. Stuart manages the payroll department and is responsible for the preparation of payrolls for around 250 companies, which account for approximately 1,000 employees.
Outside of work his grandchildren take up most of his time, and what little time is left he likes to spend walking and taking photographs.
